How Pressure Washing is Priced
Pressure washing is an essential service for maintaining the appearance and longevity of your property. However, understanding how it's priced can be confusing due to various factors. In this blog post, we break down the pricing elements, highlight national averages, and go in depth why pricing on pressure washing in Michigan might differ from other states.
Pricing on Pressure Washing can depend on many things, from what surface you’re dealing with, to the amount of chemical needed. Both of these factors plus some are taken into account based on the linear ft of your home which is mapped out in the quoting process via Google Earth.
Regional Differences
In Michigan, we experience all four seasons, which means homes and businesses are exposed to a variety of weather conditions, from harsh winters to humid summers. This exposure can lead faster build-up dirt, mold, and mildew, making pressure washing more essential and sometimes more expensive compared to states like Florida.
Michigan also tends to have very hard water (~250ppm on average based on our testing in the Lansing area) this leads to equipment needing to be replaced more often and equipment to protect your home!
In Florida, pressure washing services might be more competitively priced due to a higher number of businesses offering the service and many residents owning personal pressure washers. This abundance can drive prices down.
How the process works!
Most pressure washing businesses nowadays use a method called “Remote Quoting”. Remote quoting is done by searching your home on Google Earth, and then mapping out the area to be cleaned, whether it be a gutter cleaning, or a roof wash and that number is how we get our pricing. Lansing Precision Power-Wash has a complex system for our actual pricing calculator making it hard to give exact pricing without an address!
